OVERVIEW
I supported digital growth across the owned NBC and Telemundo stations by contributing to social strategy, on-site production, and multiplatform content creation. I wrote platform-specific social copy for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, produced short-form edits for digital distribution, and assisted editors in preparing broadcast stories for online audiences. I also worked directly with the production team by capturing field content, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage for digital packages. In addition to daily content tasks, I contributed to larger strategic initiatives, including supporting Clear The Shelters through asset organization and content planning, developing mobile-production tutorials for Newsfluencers, and conducting an in-depth AI audit through Google’s AI Overview and AI Mode to help correct outdated NBC link summaries. I also assisted with Airship re-engagement campaigns and performed ongoing platform and competitor research to help identify emerging trends and guide audience growth strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supported the Clear The Shelters initiative through content planning, digital asset organization, and prepping materials for distribution across NBC and Telemundo stations.
• Created mobile-production tutorials for Newsfluencers, providing talent with step-by-step guidance on filming, lighting, framing, and editing short-form, field-ready content.
• Conducted an AI audit using Google’s AI Overview and AI Mode to analyze how NBC-related searches were summarized, identifying outdated or inaccurate links and escalating them for correction to improve brand accuracy.
• Assisted with Airship re-engagement campaigns, helping draft push notifications and support app messaging workflows for initiatives aimed at reactivating audiences across the NBC and Telemundo apps.
• Wrote platform-specific social copy for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, adapting tone, structure, and messaging to match each platform’s audience expectations and the newsroom’s editorial voice.
• Performed trend, competitor, and platform research to identify emerging formats, viral styles, and best practices that could improve audience growth and guide digital strategy decisions.

IMPACT
During my internship, I helped strengthen digital performance across NBC and Telemundo by supporting content strategy, short-form production, and audience development initiatives. My platform-specific social copywriting and video edits contributed to higher-quality and more consistent content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
A major part of my work centered on NBC’s annual Clear The Shelters initiative, where I coordinated content, organized digital assets, and communicated directly with 150+ shelters. Throughout the campaign, I helped contribute to over 3.5 million digital views across the Clear The Shelters social media pages.
My video tutorials supported Newsfluencers by giving talent step-by-step guidance on filming, lighting, framing, and editing short-form content. I also completed a detailed AI audit using Google’s AI Overview and AI Mode, surfacing 10+ outdated or inaccurate NBC-related link summaries that were escalated for correction to protect brand accuracy.
I contributed to app re-engagement efforts through Airship, helping draft messaging for campaigns that resulted in more than 900K+ app reactivations in 50 days across the owned NBC and Telemundo markets.
On-site production support was another part of my role. I worked the Clear The Shelters Softball Game at Maimonides Park, where I captured B-roll, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content for use in digital packages and social storytelling. I also filmed social media content with RHONJ stars Dolores and Gabby Catania, producing engaging short-form content that helped elevate the campaign’s visibility across platforms.
